Aurora Residence | Home Cinema & Indoor Golf
A star-ceiling home cinema with tiered seating, paired with a dedicated indoor golf space for leisure at home.
Under the Stars. On the Green.
This private residence in Aurora, Ontario brings a dedicated home cinema and indoor golf space into the basement. One sets the scene for movie nights; the other makes room for everyday practice and time together at home.
A Cinema with a Distinctive Star Ceiling
Fine points of light gather around a central spiral galaxy, giving the ceiling its defining character. Perimeter lighting adds another layer of atmosphere. Grey walls and decorative mouldings create a calm backdrop, while wood columns and warm lighting soften the palette.
The completed-room photographs show two seating rows, with the rear row set on a raised platform. Dark seating, wall-to-wall carpet, a ceiling-mounted projector and side speakers form a dedicated entertainment setting.
Indoor Golf at Home
A large simulated golf-course image anchors the golf space. Green turf and a separate hitting mat define the practice area, while a dark enclosure focuses attention on the screen. White walls, light wood flooring and linear lighting connect the space to the surrounding interior.
From Concept to Completed Cinema
The cinema design renderings establish the star ceiling, perimeter lighting, decorative wall details and tiered seating. The completed photographs show how these core ideas are expressed through the actual furnishings, finishes and lighting.
Project Gallery
The first two images show the completed cinema. The indoor golf collage is a supplied project image; its status as photography or rendering has not been confirmed. The final collage contains cinema design renderings.
