Vision

Set within a luxury mountain residence in Whistler, this project called for more than a traditional golf simulator.

The goal was to create a refined private golf environment where professional-level simulation technology could integrate naturally into the home — delivering exceptional performance without making the room feel like a commercial golf facility.

Every element was considered as part of the space: screen proportions, enclosure dimensions, projection, hitting position, turf, lighting, equipment placement and visual finish.

The result is a purpose-built golf room designed for practice, entertainment and year-round enjoyment.

The challenge

Golf simulator rooms require a careful balance between technology, physical space and interior design.

For this project, AV Vantage needed to maximize the available room dimensions while maintaining comfortable swing clearance, optimal viewing geometry and a clean architectural appearance.

The installation was also completed in Whistler, British Columbia, requiring equipment, materials and installation logistics to be carefully coordinated from Toronto.

Rather than treating each component separately, we designed the simulator as a complete system.

Our Solution

At the heart of the room is the Foresight Sports GCQuad, providing tour-level ball and club data for serious practice and highly realistic simulator play.

A high-output EIKI laser projector was paired with a professionally sized impact screen to create a large, immersive image while maintaining the brightness and clarity required for a premium residential environment.

The custom enclosure, impact screen, turf and surrounding finishes were planned together to create a clean, integrated appearance.

Equipment and cabling were positioned discreetly so that technology remains secondary to the experience of the room.

Designed Around the Space

No two golf rooms are identical.

Ceiling height, room width, hitting distance, projector position, player orientation and interior finishes all influence the final design.

For the Whistler residence, AV Vantage designed the system around the architecture of the room rather than forcing the room to accommodate a predetermined simulator package.

This approach allowed us to create a space that feels intentional, permanent and integrated into the home.

The Result

The completed room combines professional golf technology with the comfort and finish expected in a luxury residence.

It functions as a serious practice environment when performance matters, while also becoming an entertainment space for family and guests.

More importantly, the technology does not dominate the room.

It feels like part of the home.

Performance. Design. Integration.
